The 55-year-old said that he'd recently formed a close friendship with a female companion, whose identity has not been publicly revealed, and that the pair are currently seeing where things led. The AFL legend told The Herald Sun: 'It's really new and a nice little friendship. We're going all right and taking it slowly.' Louis Touma, 29, (left) had been diving with five others at Bondi Beach on Thursday afternoon when he failed to come up for air. His friends dragged him onto the rocks and desperately performed CPR before he was rushed to shore on a jetski by lifesavers. Mr Touma was taken to St Vincent's Hospital but was unable to be saved.

Emma Hamilton and Jake Moore, from Newcastle in New South Wales, have to avoid any contact with the outside world because their four-month-old Bronte has ultra rare Severe Combined Immuno-deficiency (SCID). Only one in 200,000 babies suffer from SCID, which is usually fatal without treatment within two years of birth. Mr Moore, an engineer, works from home, while the couple can't go shopping and have had to take Bronte's brother Kaius, three, and sister Willow, two, out of daycare. In a recent glimmer of hope, the family have found out about a breakthrough in the treatment of SCID, which will see Ms Hamilton and Bronte fly to the UK next month.

Sanna Marin, Finland's party prime minister, has today defended her actions after she was filmed enjoying a wild night out with friends earlier this month. Ms Marin, a 36-year-old married mother-of-one, said 'nothing inappropriate' happens in footage which captured her dancing hip-to-hip in a nightclub with a male pop star at 4am, and said that 'everyone needs a fun night out'. Ms Marin also denied ever taking drugs but said she had submitted to a test anyway to prove her innocence after more footage, captured earlier the same evening, caught one of her friends using a slang term for cocaine. Journalists questioned whether she would have been in a position to make snap decisions if a crisis had begun during the party, but Ms Marin shot back that her entire time in office has been during a 'crisis - including Covid an the Ukraine war - and that she has never been called upon in the middle of a Saturday night.

The Russian leader claims the Zaporizhzhia plant is being constantly shelled by Ukrainian forces, but Kyiv argues it is Kremlin forces carrying out the attacks themselves as a false flag pretext for the feared 'provocation'. Australia's celebrity and political elite turned up in droves for the very first Street Side Medics Gala event in Sydney on Friday. Hosted by Young Australian of the Year 2022 Dr Daniel Nour at Crown Sydney, the gala aims to raise awareness and funds for the non-profit Street Side Medics.   Former foreign minister Julie Bishop, Ben Fordham, Richard Wilkins, NSW Premier Domenic Perrotett and ex premier Gladys Berejiklian were among the A-list attendees.

A group entered the convenience store near Figueroa Street and El Segundo Boulevard, with surveillance footage showing the looters shouting at each other, on August 15. The gang of people ransacked the store while shouting, completely destroying the COVID-19 safety screen that had been set up to grab as much as they could in Los Angeles, California. They can be seen running across the store and grabbing drinks, cigarettes, lottery tickets, bags of chips, and other items. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the suspects also started throwing items at them, with around 100 people involved in the chaos.

The bodies had been discovered after a family from Manurewa in Auckland, New Zealand, bought the luggage at an abandoned storage unit auction on August 11. Few details have emerged since the corpses were uncovered eight days ago with police continuing their investigation. The family that discovered the bodies (police at their property, main and bottom had initially purchased the contents of a storage locker through an online auction. Detective inspector Tofilau Faamanuia Vaaelua said a post mortem report revealed the corpses belonged to two primary-school aged children. Local police have teamed up with international crime agency Interpol to chase down the suspect, or suspects, who, they believe, could now be living overseas. Eight days after the grisly find, Daily Mail Australia takes a look at what is known so far about the case.

Chris Jensen (left leaving Brisbane Supreme Court)  has been hit with a four year suspended jail sentence for 'intense' drug trafficking. Jensen bought wholesale quantities of largely cannabis and on occasion cocaine and MDMA, and sold them to his own customer base at Peregian Springs over four months, the court heard.. He has been on bail in the time since, competing on the hit reality TV show Married at First Sight while the charges hung over him. Using an encrypted messaging app to communicate with suppliers and customers, he received eight supplies of cannabis from June to October 2017 ranging from 450 grams to seven kilograms, for him to then sell. His fiancée Tayla Made (with Jensen, right) shared an emotional moment with his mum in court in the wake of the sentence.

Adults have taken the spot of the budding sorority students with videos mocking their southern accents and attire with the hashtag #CorporateRush. The adults showcase their work attire and ruthlessly mock the PNMs by mimicking their presentations and viciously lampooning the sorority process. Social media users can't help but to laugh along with the adults who appear to be wannabe sisters, even picking fan favorites.

The zebras were crossing the Mara River in the Maasai Mara, Kenya when a group of crocodiles sprung their trap. But one predator got more than it bargained for when one of the zebras bit back. One image showed a number of crocodiles laying in wait in the water as the herd of zebras was crossing through, and another captured the moment the crocodile leapt out of the water in an attempt to make the zebra its meal. But the most startling moment of the series shows the zebra biting the crocodile in the throat before the predator recoiled in pain, allowing the zebra to get out of the Mara River in the Maasai Mara, and to the safety of dry land. Other members of its herd were not so lucky, however, with pictures showing the black and white stripes of some of the animals disappearing into the river amidst a writhing of water, scales and teeth.

From Monday evening long awaited Game Of Thrones prequel House Of The Dragon is set to unpick the fraught, fractious and undeniably incestuous lives of Daenerys Targaryen's distant relatives.
